Neighborhood Block Watch Several streets in North Avondale have formed block watch organizations to help the police better serve our community. If you are interested in volunteering, forming or learning more about a block watch group I your area please use the NANA “Contact Us” form to request a block watch captain contact you with information.
One of the most proven methods to keep the criminals from owning the street is for neighbors to band together as Citizens on Patrol. This helps to make the neighborhood more active outdoors and makes our streets less attractive to the criminals. Participants are required to complete basic class with twelve hours of class training and an 8 hour ride-a-long with a police officer and attend additional ongoing training throughout the year.
Receive neighborhood alerts directly from the Cincinnati Police Department about crimes or other incidents that are uniquely relevant to North Avondale.
Community Problem Oriented Policing (CPOP) City employees and the community work together, under the direction of the Cincinnati Police designed to tackle community problems through a partnership between the employees of the City and the residents of Cincinnati. The North Avondale CPOP meetings take place on the First Thursday of the Month at 6:00 PM District 4 Police Station, Call NANA Office at: (513) 221-6166 to confirm.
Anonymously provide law enforcement agencies with information on crimes or suspects. Tipster can give information without revealing their identity and may be eligible for a financial reward for the information they provide.
City of Cincinnati Health Department The Board of Health is responsible for the promotion, protection, and maintenance of the public’s health. This responsibility may be achieved by (but is not limited to) development and enforcement of health laws, prevention of disease, education, and curative and rehabilitation activities.

The City of Cincinnati contracts with nonprofit agencies and other organizations to provide human services. Such services include but are not limited to emergency food and shelter assistance, after school and tutoring, youth leadership development, teen parent education, self-sufficiency training, individual and group counseling, AIDS education, and adult and child abuse prevention programs. |
